LONG ISLAND EXCHANGE "ADVICE"

Everyone Needs a New Life…

There is a humanistic need called variety that we all crave once in a while. The problem is that most of the time, we don’t recognize those feelings of wanting something different, or wanting change, and may sometimes feel wrong for having those feelings at all. We may think to ourselves, “Why would I want change or yearn for something more when everything in my life is going well?” You have to remember that wanting change doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re unhappy with your life as it is now; it simply means that you want to improve, add, or take away.

Improving something you already have going in your life is just a part of another need in life called evolution. You will always want to (at one point or another) improve an area of your life… and why shouldn’t you? Your goal should always be to live as much of a fulfilling life as possible.

Add something because you feel you want to fill a void in your life or you want to enrich your life. New experiences give us a great sense of variety, we are always (whether we know it or not) trying to find new ways of engaging ourselves and our senses.

In any case, whether you are adding, or improving something, it is always good to evaluate anything in your life that you would consider unnecessary baggage, and take away. Any part of your life that you have just been “going through the motions” with and is no longer prominent or important. It could be anything specific like an unused gym membership, or something more general like an old way of investing your money. It could be something major like moving to a new town and making a fresh start.

Bottom line, in the hustle, bustle, and constant change of life, we move with it all as well. We can stand still when it comes to living and refuse variety and change… but we will only end up getting left behind. Accept the feelings of wanting variety and examine the areas in your life where you may want to improve, add, or take away. Heck, you may want to start totally over just for the hell of it! After all…there is no feeling in the world, like the feeling that a New Life can bring you.
