LONG ISLAND
AIRPORTS
Although
permitted items are FAA approved, stricter security restrictions as mandated by
each individual airport may prevent these items from being allowed in carry-on
baggage.
JetBlue recommends stowing such questionable
items in check-in baggage to avoid possible confiscation. For more information
regarding permitted items as listed by the FAA. Airlines recommend
shipping all gifts in advance instead of bringing them to the airport. If you
need to bring gifts with you, pack them in your checked baggage. If you wish to
carry the gifts onboard the aircraft, do not wrap them. Due
to heightened airport security, random bags searches are required, and all items
are subject to being hand-searched.All items carried onboard must fit in your
1 carry-on bag. Please be aware, whenever airport security personnel cannot determine
by x-ray the contents of a package, they will open it, or ask you to open it for
inspection. Access
beyond the security screening checkpoints is permitted to passengers only
no family members or friends will be allowed to accompany customers to the gate.
All laptop computers must be removed from their cases and
both the case and laptop must go through the x-ray machine. Increased
customer screening is in place at all airports. While a printed confirmation is
NOT necessary for check-in at the main ticket counter, a combination of requirements
for accessing security checkpoints at every airport have changed.
