Frequently if you ask someone what their favorite food is, the exclamation coming from the salivating individual is usually “Pizza!” Pizza is such a universal type of food that it pleases almost everybody. For the meat lovers, there are savory meats like pepperoni and sausage toppings. For the vegetarians, there is the veggie pizza with a plethora of vegetables mounted on top from onions to peppers and mushrooms to tomatoes. It is very hard to disappoint an individual with pizza because there is something for everybody’s individual taste buds. With that said, there are certain pizza establishments which are given higher accolades than others.

Another gem in the pizza industry is Little Vincent’s in Huntington. This is a more casual dining establishment but the pizza is to die for. Another benefit to this pizzeria is in regard to the closing time because it is open very late. If one is venturing out to look for a late night snack, then this is the place to go. Not to mention the pizza truly is wonderful.

One last pizzeria that should be mentioned is World Pie in Bridgehampton. Although this local celebrity hangout is known for its other menu items as well, the thin crust pizza is what people really crave when they come here. People say there is just something about the crust and the toppings together that make World Pie’s pizza extra special. World Pie always has a good crowd and the food is well worth the trip.

Choosing the best pizza is really an individual decision and these are just a few recommendations of great pizza places on Long Island. However, if a person likes to try new things and pizza is the food of choice, why not give one of these establishments a try when in the Long Island area and see how they rank on a scale of worthy pizzerias.
