What You Will See at the Museum The Brookhaven Volunteer Firefighters Museum is located at Fireman’s Memorial Park in Ridge, New York. Founded in 1991, this volunteer firefighters museum chronicles both past and present firefighting topics and provides a place for the general public to go to learn more about this worthy occupation. When one comes to the Brookhaven Volunteer Firefighters Museum they will be able to see a wide array of items including fire hats from the past years, firefighting equipment and antique fire truck displays. This is a wonderful place for both adults and children to come to in order to learn more about how fires are fought and the men and women behind the fight. General Information The museum is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 3 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 4 pm. Furthermore, the museum has listed that from November 1st until May 1st Saturday only from 10 am to 2 pm. Also, the Brookhaven Volunteer Firefighters Museum is closed on all holidays. The admission to get into the museum is free; however, donations are accepted and greatly appreciated.
