Long Island is a wonderful place to visit and live, not only for adults but children as well. There are a number of wonderful activities that will keep children of all ages entertained on Long Island.

Atlantis Marine World

Atlantis Marine World is a great aquarium located in the town of Riverhead on Long Island. This aquatic adventure land caters to children big and small and offers a wide range of marine animals and sea life. Not only can families tour the aquarium and see all of the fun exhibits, but there are also a number of events and shows which visitors can attend. Admission rates range from $15.50 to $17.50 but it is well worth the ticket price for a day of fun which can be expected at Atlantis Marine World.

Dinosaur Walk Museum

The Dinosaur Walk Museum, also located in Riverhead, is another great place to take the kids on Long Island. This museum features a wide variety of exhibits that show sculptures and replicas of how the dinosaurs once looked. A movie theater on the premises shows a variety of educational films and programs about dinosaurs which help visitors to learn many great facts and details about dinosaurs. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and the price of admission ranges anywhere from $7.95 to $10.95. The Dinosaur Walk Museum is a great place to visit with the opportunity for fun and education all rolled into one.

New York Islanders

What better way to spend the day with the children than at a hockey game? The New York Islanders are the hockey team whose home base is Long Island. Kids will love all of the entertainment and excitement that goes along with a hockey game. From the food to the crowds to the game itself, children of all ages will find attending a New York Islanders game an exhilarating experience. This is also fun for the accompanying adults as well.

These are just a few things that Long Island has to offer children. Whatever one wishes to do, Long Island is sure to please.
