French Restaurants: Where to Dine on Long Island

French cuisine is quite a popular type of food in the Long Island area. From appetizers and entrées that range from foie gras to escargot, some of the most spectacular restaurants on Long Island serve meals of French origin. The following information will highlight some wonderfully unique French restaurants on Long Island where the meals are absolutely delightful and which must be given a try.

La Coquille

La Coquille is a fine dining establishment located in Manhasset which serves an eclectic array of French entrées. From the Huitres appetizer to the Filet de Bar Basquaise, this restaurant aims to please. Fine wine and excellent service are two of the many great qualities of La Coquille. Just be sure to bring your dinner jacket as La Coquille has a strict dress code which makes it even that much more special.

Bistro Cassis

Bistro Cassis in Huntington is a wonderful little bistro which serves authentic French cuisine. Upon entering the establishment, one is transported to a true French bistro where the ambience greets the patrons welcomingly. The menu at Bistro Cassis features some of the favorites in French cooking yet adds a little extra flair to the menu items. Dinner entrées are in the range of $20-$30 and the restaurant also offers sandwiches and other forms of light fare. Bistro Cassis is definitely worth the trip.

Almond Restaurant

Another restaurant which boasts fine French cuisine is Almond Restaurant located in Bridgehampton on Long Island. Located in the Hamptons, this bistro is warm and comfortable and the service friendly. The French cuisine is also quite delicious as well. All in all, if one is in the Hamptons area, the Almond Restaurant should definitely be given a try.
