GOLF GAMES ACROSS LONG ISLAND

Finding the Perfect Golf Game on Long Island

Golfing is a favorite pastime of many individuals throughout the country. For those in the New York City region, a trip out to Long Island to play a round of golf at one of the many beautiful courses in this area may be well worth the drive. Long Island golf courses cater to beginners and experts alike and there is a little something for everyone.

Courses Where One May Be Able to Play the Perfect Game

The Bethpage Black golf course located in Farmingdale in the South Shore region of Long Island is one such course which intimidates and intrigues a large variety of golfers. This advanced course is part of Bethpage State Park and has greens like some have never seen before. This walkers-only course is of a steep variety with narrow fairways and extreme grounds. Those golfers with low-handicaps will find this course to be absolutely phenomenal.

For those golfers who wish to enjoy a round of golf on a course which is a little less extreme, the Cherry Creek Golf Links located in Riverhead may be just the thing to please the amateur golfer. This 18-hole golf course caters to all ability levels and has a nice terrain in which to enjoy a day of golf. With its wooded areas, it is a great place to get outside and play a fun game in a natural setting.

Another challenging golf course for avid and occasional golfers alike is the Crab Meadow Golf Club in Northport. This wonderfully scenic course has open fairways and a range of amenities for the golfer to take advantage of such as golf carts, an on-site restaurant and practice facilities. Non-residents pay a greens fee while residents pay a discounted price.

Whichever course one chooses to spend a great day playing a round of golf, Long Island has a wide variety of public golf courses from which to choose. Whether an individual is looking for a beginner course with a laid-back atmosphere or one that is both challenging yet exhilarating, there is sure to be the perfect 18-hole golf course just waiting for them on Long Island.
