The highlight of the show was his glamorous evening pieces, tulle, chiffon and lovely blush colored dresses. I simply adored his classic "feathered" chiffon ensemble. Model Ham Jin was the star of the show wearing a tan chiffon blouse and a high-waisted black fluttery evening skirt with dainty black button detailing. During our interview Jason revealed that fashion defines who we are as individuals. "Fashion defines our era, it defines who we are. Women want to dress up more, be prettier, more mature," Jason exclaims. Jason combines modern evening dressing with the spirit and detailing of vintage clothing in a way that is both innovative and fresh yet romantically reflective. Influenced by the photography of Irving Penn and Horst and the collection of Charles James and Christian Dior during the mid century, Jason celebrates the female form by emphasizing the hourglass silhouette and utilizing the most luxurious fabrics. Wu demonstrates his effectiveness as a top designer, his versatility in designing red carpet glam dresses as well as high fashion couture. The Monica Byrne collection boasts an eclectic mix of handmade imported fabrics, hand-beaded lace, and ethereal embroidery, silks, satin and chiffons and can be found in Saks Fifth Avenue in New York and Beverly Hills, as well as luxury boutiques nationwide. Monica reveals to the media about the Spring 2008 collection, "I drew my inspiration for this collection from the BBC's Planet Earth nature documentary and I transposed the various elements of nature onto the female form. The silhouettes in this collection were inspired by the icy world of glaciers where water constantly changes from a solid to a liquid state and back again. The result is pieces that appear to have faces sculpted out of silk moire into strong yet delicate forms and other pieces that seem to flow gently like rivers of silk chiffon. The winds of a desert storm gently caress the fabric into textured ripples of sand. The translucent delicacy of raindrops is an underwater sea storm in the beadwork and ornamentation. Exotic birds and flowers in the jungles of the Amazon with their impossibly vibrant colors is unexpected combinations are the foundation of the unique color palette that I created for the collection. these garments beckon their wearers to explore and revere the treasure that is our planet earth." The collection was showcased on tall statuesque dance like wispy models all wearing a simple chic chignon hairstyle, "Very Ballerina." The models all stood on fabulous Birch trees that were provided by American Foliage. No live trees were cut or harmed for the production of the fashion show and all cosmetics used on the models were 100% cruelty-free. Some of the fabulous celebrities that attended were Americas Top Model Nigel Barker, Project Runway Malan Breton, Costume Designer Rosemary Ponzo and Brooks Editor and Chief of Talent In Motion Magazine.
