In Port Jefferson, during the weekend of December 2nd through the 4th, the town will be alive with activity for the 10th Annual Dickens Festival. This year, the Dickens festival will feature a ball, concerts, house tours and a holiday parade.
Venture to a Tree Farm For those wishing to obtain a live Christmas tree this year, a trip to the local tree farm to choose a tree is a great holiday activity. There is perhaps nothing better than selecting one’s own tree and actually putting a little elbow grease into obtaining the beautiful Christmas tree. Some tree farms even have apple cider and snacks available for purchase which is a great way to top off the perfect day. This is a wonderful activity which is fun for the whole family.
