Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks For those who like to brave the cold weather and have the ultimate ice skating experience, there are a number of outdoor ice skating rinks on Long Island which aim to please. Grant Park, located in Hewlett, Nassau County, is a perfect place to go skating if one is in the South Shore area. For those who like to skate in an outdoor atmosphere, Grant Park may just be the perfect place to do so. The Syosset-Woodbury Community Park Ice Rink is a great outdoor rink to go to if one is in the North Shore/Nassau County area. The admission fees are extremely reasonable, usually $3 to $4 for a 2 hour session, and this park offers skate rental for around $3 if individuals do not have their own skates.
