Long Island Game Farm: A Wonderful Day for Children of All Ages

One particular Long Island site that is sure to please children of all ages is the Long Island Game Farm. This wildlife park and children’s zoo has canvassed the Long Island landscape for the past 35 years and families and individuals alike have made wonderful memories at this great park. There are so many things to see and do at the Long Island Game Farm which makes this a hotspot for both vacationers and locals.

What One Can See at the Long Island Game Farm

There are so many varieties of animals to see at this zoo. From viewing exotic animals from a slight distance to petting farm animals at the park’s interactive petting zoo, children and adults alike will be amazed at all the wildlife they encounter. Giraffes, cougars, sheep, lemurs, monkeys and alligators are a few types of the more exotic animals which are on display. As for the more friendly ones of the group, pigs, ducks, rabbits and ponies, just to name a few are available for individuals not only to pet but to feed as well. The Long Island Game Farm encourages people to pet and interact closely with certain types of animals, the friendlier type of animals that is, and as a result learn more about these magnificent creatures.

If the children are looking for even more excitement, the zoo also offers small amusement rides and even pony rides. There is so much to enjoy while spending a day at the Long Island Game Farm.

General Information Regarding the Zoo

The Long Island Game Farm is located in Manorville, New York on Long Island and is open between the months of mid-April to mid-October. The hours of operation at this fantastic establishment are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the weekends during the season. Off-season hours and particular hours within the park for different areas will vary and the establishment should be consulted by individuals prior to coming to the park. As for admission prices, an adult can enter the park in season for the nominal fee of $16.95 plus tax and children between the ages of 3-11 can be admitted for $14.95 plus tax. Those little ones under the age of 3 are free. Off-season prices save each individual $3.00 on admission.

If one is looking for a great place to take the family for the day or simply wants to view the animals alone, the Long Island Game Farm is a great place to visit.
