 If you live in Long Island you probably take for granted that there are so many great things to do all around you. These things don’t have to cost money, either! Stop for a second and take in the natural beauty all around you, we often forget how pleasurable a walk in our beautiful environment really can be. Walking through the tree lined streets or a heavily treed path taking in the aromas of the environment can be good for the mind and soul. When we forget how beautiful Long Island is and how easy it is to be entertained we get bored, but we don’t have to be bored at all! If a walk isn’t your speed there is plenty of other things to do.
 An afternoon at a winery can be a lot of fun for a slow paced source of entertainment. Wine tasting is very popular in Long Island and there is no shortage of great wineries to try! If you enjoy wine you’ll definitely enjoy seeing the wine cellars, and learning how the wine is actually made. Some of these wineries have been making wine for longer than you’d imagine, so their processes are tried and true and learning about these things as well as tasting some of their wine can make for a wonderful day. A drive to the Castello di Borghese Vineyard and Winery, which is one of the oldest wineries on Long Island, will prove to be interesting and delicious, too! Or, perhaps a visit to the famous Lieb Family Cellars with their award winning wines is more your speed, whatever you choose a day at a winery is a great way to enjoy what Long Island has to offer. Long Island has more than a handful of wineries to choose from, so make your day at a winery exciting!
A low-key day at a winery is the perfect example of a sophisticated source of entertainment in Long Island. There are wineries spread all over Long Island, so you shouldn’t have to travel long distances if you don’t want to. Yet, a visit to a winery, no matter how close to home can prove to be just the escape from daily life that you need to feel refreshed. Also, a simple little day trip such as this will remind you of what a majestic place Long Island truly is. With the daily grind of life we often take our beautiful communities for granted, but fun, entertainment, and relaxation is practically at our doorstep begging us to take advantage. So, get out there and have some fun or find a source of relaxation!
