Tai Chi Chuan
 The Ancient Oriental art of Tai Chi has gained much notoriety as of late. It is only recently through modern medical diagnostic procedures that claims of heath and mental benefits from Tai Chi Chuan are universally accepted. Literally translated Tai Chi means "Ultimate Fist" as it's martial arts application is well known.
There are three main branches or schools of Tai Chi Chuan. The Yang Style, Chen Style and Wu Style. All have derived from Taoism, a belief in balance and harmony in all things. Have you seen a group of people in the park slowly practicing Tai Chi ? Tai Chi has heath and spiritual benefits that can help most any person despite age gain better overall heath and well being. It is a awareness of your internal self and how through practice and meditation your are ever balancing and recharging your internal energy (Chi).
In my school we teach a hybrid variation of The Yang Style. Our student base ranges from martial arts masters to housewives both young and old. That's because Tai Chi Chuan has benefits for all who undertake the art.The three primary objectives of Tai Chi are 1) Health 2) Meditation 3) Martial Arts .
