Long Island: To Visit or To Stay
Long Island New York is the perfect place to live or visit. Beauty abounds in this New York town, with beautiful leaves on the trees and the ground in the fall, a white winter that isn’t too harsh, greenery blooming and coming when spring rolls around, and a summer just hot enough to make you enjoy a cool glass of lemonade as you sit on your back porch. Though it is very close to some major cities, Long Island, New York is sort of a break away from it all. Just close enough to the hustle and bustle, but just far enough away to let you leave your cares behind. If you come to Long Island to visit, you can almost guarantee that you’ll toy with the idea of how wonderful it would be to live in such a place. And, if you already live in Long Island, New York you know how lucky you are!
With many residential areas to choose from finding a home to live in on Long Island is not an issue at all. If you like historic homes there are plenty of charming old homes with a lot of character that could be found all over Long Island. If you prefer a newer home, Long Island has those, too! Living on Long Island is great because you don’t have to live right in the middle of the city, but you are close enough to major cities and airports that business and careers are not at all an issue. With many ways on and off Long Island, transportation is a breeze, too! Trains, ferries, busses, and planes are all simple ways to travel and you don’t have to work very hard to find them! With two tunnels and seven bridges leading away from New York City, you are sure to be able to find your way to and from wherever it is you want or need to go.
If you are just visiting, Long Island is a great place to stay! Even if you plan on doing a lot of sight seeing in New York City, Long Island is just thirty miles away from the city. While thirty miles may seem like a lot, it really isn’t once you realize the scenery you’ll be able to take in. Also, Long Island has a nightlife that rivals that of New York City, and some people just prefer to stay outside of the city! Nothing wrong with that, if you stay in Long Island you’ll likely find that you wouldn’t want to miss out on the area. With museums, parks, bars, clubs, and many other places to have a lot of fun a trip to Long Island is worth your time and the mileage between it and any other sight seeing you may do.
It’s true, Long Island is a beautiful place full of opportunity whether you are coming for a short time, or coming to stay. Many people assume that Long Island is just an extension of New York City, but when you get here you’ll realize Long Island is a place all its own where natural beauty and breathtaking views are always in.
