Come to Long Island for the Wine Country Winter Festival

Long Island is known by many individuals for its wineries and vineyards. Each year, a large number of locals and tourists alike visit various Long Island wineries. For this reason, the wine making industry hosts a wine festival each year to entertain and delight all.

When and Where It Is Held

The Long Island Wine Country Winter Festival is going to be held during the month of February in 2006. Much of the wine-related events will be held in the Eastern region of Long Island at various spots within this area.

What to Do at the Winter Festival

Wine tastings, tours, and venues hosting other wine-related activities contribute to the overall aspect of the Wine Country Winter Festival. Although wine-related activities are the main focus of this winter festival, that is certainly not the only thing which is featured at this wonderful festival. Many restaurants host dinners and organizations feature activities and demonstrations to entertain individuals of all ages. Dance and musical performances are a wonderful thing to attend at this winter festival as well as cooking and winery demonstrations.

Dedicated Weekends

Throughout the month of February, each weekend will have a designated theme. For example, one weekend will be a “girls getaway” weekend, whereas the weekend closest to Valentine’s Day will have a more romantic theme to it. The activities that take place during the specified weekends will have topics based on the particular theme of the weekend.

Take Advantage of Discounts

During the weeks in which the Long Island Wine Country Winter Festival is being held, some of the restaurants and lodging facilities will be offering special rates and discounts for its guests. Some establishments have percentages off of the normal rates of rooms, such as 20% to 30% off the price of each night whereas other establishments, such as retail stores, will offer free gifts with various item purchases. This is a great way to have the time of one’s life and save a little money in the process.

Reserve Ahead of Time

As the Long Island Wine Country Winter Festival is an extremely popular event in Long Island, rooms and dinner reservations are booked quite quickly so it is important to reserve one’s room, etc. ahead of time should the individual wish to be a part of this fantastic celebration.
