This is a one of a kind 2007 custom hard tail chopper with less than 500 miles. This chopper started out 3 years ago as an early 1900’s board track racer. The bike was put on hold before it was resurrected by now owner Chuck Croteau at Redline Service in Tucson.
Chuck and Phil Korte from Create-A-Custom Cycles in Tombstone, AZ were inspired by a 1957 J.C. Higgins Flightliner Bicycle which was for sale and quickly decided the board trackers new fate. The bicycle is also included in this auction and looks great next to the chopper.
After many months of preparation and after thought, the board track racer was transformed by Phil Korte into a show stopper and great ride.
Marvin Cable of Class Act M/C Engineering in Phoenix manufactured the frame, handle bars, fuel tank, oil tank and rear fender. The Springer front end and 113 cubic inch Ultima Motor were done by Midwest Motorcycle Supply with the 6 speed transmission by Trik Shift. Forward controls, speedometer and electronics by Thunder Heart with the front pegs replaced by jeweled bicycle pedals. Front and rear wheels by Ride Wright Wheels in Anaheim, CA. Metzler tires by Drag Specialties, Exhaust pipes by Paul Jaffe design, DEKA battery, Pinstriping done by Jim Gear in Tucson. All powder coating done by Affordable Powder Coating in Tucson. Other painting done at Painting By Manny in Phoenix, AZ. Chrome plating done by Concours Plating and Polishing Phoenix, AZ. Front fender, headlight cover and chain guard made by Mark Perrodin.
