Ok, the pay stinks (actually...it's non-existant), but it's a godo way to get our viewers to read what you write.

Hi, back in the day I worked full time as a senior staff writer for a tri-state area newspaper. I wrote features, op-ed, news, special events and even had my own humor/current events column. Won some press awards (don't mean to brag).

Would like to get back into writing now that I am a old married lady!

With NASCAR as big as it is,,,any racing related stories would be cool. Riverhead Raceway has major action,most Sat.nights in the Summers,gets little or no press..sigh. I've been racing at Riverhead for 11 years & it's the only remaining NY Metro racetrack open. Freeport & Islip speedways were shut down for a Caldor and a Walmart.There's alot of talent at Riverhead,alot of big names in NASCAR used to race at Riverhead Raceway.
