Hi, last time I told everyone about shoddy work from U.S. Cabinet Refacing, Inc. -well they still advertise in this month (June) Clipper magazine. Customers Beware!!! Their work is not satisfactory, as they claim, and once its done you have no re-cource, because in the fine print of your contract it states "all work is done to the best of our ability" !!! I'm trying to let other LI people know so they don't get stuck like I did!!! Have a great holiday weekend everyone.:jiggy:

Ok , this is what happened...Had my kitchen cabinettes refaced by US Cabinet, two out of 11 were crooked. The workers came back and said "yeah they look too crooked, we'll try to correct it", after awhile they said "well this is the best we can do" the doors were still crooked, and now had little gaps between them, they actually made it worse. I asked the owner to please come and look at the work that was done. He did, and told me he'd make the 2 doors over again. Fine, after waiting another 2 weeks(this whole process took over 2 months),the workers came back and tried again. The result was exactly the same. The worker called the owner on my phone and told him they couldn't fix it. I asked the owner to come again and look at it, he told me the contract states that if my house walls are not even then its not their fault. I had to get a magnifying glass to read it in the fine print and there it was. The odd thing is, before I had the work done, all my old cabinet doors were straight!! Just old and worn, thats why I wanted them replaced. Well, some friends told me afterwards that they used other refacing companies and never had any problems, so I guess its the old adage, you get what you pay for, I should have gone with the more expensive companies like Sears or Century 21.
