Hello everyone. I'm new here and would just like to introduce myself. My name is Mike Mastroianni and I was born and raised and will die here on Long Island. Even though everything is over priced and we pay way to much taxes, I still would never leave Long Island. I own and operate a Concrete Construction company based... you guessed it, right here on Long Island.

That's for sure, once an Islander always an Islander. I joined the military 3 and 1/2 years ago and in 18 short months I will return home. (god willing:) there is no place like home!

What's up Big Mike? I often think about how nice it would be to move out of state and live more comfortably, but I don't think I'll ever leave either. Long Island is the best! You have city life, you have out east, Fire Island, all four seasons. We have a bit of everything. I think about selling my house and outright buying a great house in North Carolina. But if I left, I don't think I could ever come back. It would be like trying to run uphill financially. I'm not sure if I'm ready to make that choice. So I stay and live like everyone else does here, trying to keep up. ~Amy

We do have a little bit of everything.... If your in the mood for city life, a ride out to Manhatten is just 45 minuets away.... If you want to have a quite farm like atmosphere or just ocean, deer and woods, we've got both eastern forks to enjoy that aswell....
There is no place like Long Island... :boat:
