LIRR employee & family (2 adults/1 child) seeks 2-3 bed house in Mastic/Shirley. Help!! Seek nice roomy home, REASONABLE rent (we're on a budget just like the rest of Long island!) preferably utilites included. Reliable, of high integrity. Rent on time, we like improving our surroundings even though we plan to be homeowners (when the prices go down!) We're having no luck so far, all the good house rentals are being snapped up before we even pick up the phone (and there t'aint many in Shirley/Mastic ;)), and what we've been shown thus far have been virtually "closets" (for a pretty penny mind you)! Our lease is up aug. 28. We need something before then. WILL possibly consider main floor apt. if access & use of yard, clean & NICE). We don't want to throw away good $$ for a brokers fee. No brokers please. Thanks....

what is a reasonable price range that you are looking for? I have friend who rent a few of his house out.

We're looking for something max $1600 (that would include utilities or at least oil). So $1600 includes most or $1300/1400+ utilities. Something with storage space (garage) and a roomy living room would be a godsend. Thanks so much!
