How long before the man should call?

After meeting a woman for the first time, or after going on the first date, how long should the man wait before calling the woman (if he is interested)?

We asked our group this poll question and received the following results:


Women- He should call the same night as the date 5.8%
Women-He should call the next day 34.9%
Women-He should call two days later 17.4%
Women- He should call three or more days later 2.3%
Men- I'd call the same night 3.5%
Men- I'd call the next day 17.4%
Men- I'd call two days later 11.6%
Men- Make her wait, I'd call three or more days later 2.3%
Men- She should call me 4.7%

I hear you on that, but some guys would say that they wont call a woman too soon because they cant show too much interest too fast.
