My son never slept in his bassinet. I purchased a better mattress than it came with for it. I used the changing station part of it for a few weeks. It is totally clean and looks like new. no pets, husband is a smoker, though he doesn't smoke in the baby's room,

was bought December 04, put together January 05. My son never used it because he is too curious. He likes to see what's going on around him, and he couldn't see anything in the bassinet, so he screamed like a maniac when I tried to put him in there.
