Thousands of companion animals have been lost, abandoned, rescued and will need foster and permanent homes. If you can help, please call the Humane Society of the United States and get on the list. Also, if you feel you would like to support you LOCAL shelters, it's also helpful if you adopt from your local shelters. This will in turn leave more resources available for those newly stranded pets.
