Job Title: Alarm Technicians (2)
Territory: Long Island (Riverhead area)
Schedule: 8AM to 5PM - Monday thru Friday
Note: Our client prefers candidates with at least two years experience in a trade.
Willing to train the right person!

Description:
Alarm technician will perform installations and maintenance of commercial alarm systems / CCTV for large companies, retail locations and financial institutions. The candidate will be required to drive to various locations throughout the five boroughs and Long Island. The installation, cabling and troubleshooting responsibilities will require the candidate to perform some physically demanding tasks and be proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools. This is a temporary to permanent position that requires candidates use their own car until a company vehicle is available. Skills Required:
2 years prior Field Service Technician or Installation Technician type employment preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and power tools
Familiarity with electronic circuit design
Knowledge of basic electricity and the ability to read and understand schematic diagrams
Troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, pneumatic or computer controlled equipment such as card access systems
Work independently with minimal supervision
The candidate must also have superior customer communications skills to understand service issues and effectively communicate the corrective actions that will be taken.
Skills Preferred:
2+ years field experience with the installation of commercial or residential alarm systems
Basic PC skills, MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel), email etc…
Knowledge of basic test equipment such as power meters and cable testers
Education:
High School Diploma or Technical School Diploma
Travel:
Local daily travel between accounts
Additional Requirements:
All candidates must have verifiable work experience.
Must posses a valid New York State driver’s license and reliable car for daily travel between accounts. Good driving record is necessary.
Subject to background check and drug testing.
Flexibility to work weekends or be on-call if the current project necessitates
