If you want your business to be successful you must provide good customer service. When you give good customer service you will have the satisfaction of know that customer will return later, and the customer may also spread the word to his/her friends (word of the mouth advertising is, in my opinion, the best form of advertising). Here are some customer service tips for your business:
1. You can also show your existing customers your appreciation by giving them gifts at Christmas time and on their birthday. It not only shows them you appreciate their business, but it also shows them you care, and that you remembered them.
2. When doing business face-to-face always smile, be polite, and it never hurts to compliment your customer.
3. A simple thank you card to your customer goes a long way. When the customer gives you his or her business be sure to immediately send him or her a thank you card. In the card you can enclose your business card (so they will remember you in the future), and on the back of the card you can write a special offer or coupon to the customer. A special offer or coupon shows the customer you appreciated his or her business, and it gives the customer an incentive to come back.
4. If you can’t help your customers refer them to someone who can, even if it is a competitor. Your customer will remember your kindness and return when you do have what they need.
5. Be honest with your customer and keep your promises. If you offer a satisfaction guarantee hold to it.
