New York’s premiere holiday light-park, the Holiday Light Spectacular at Jones Beach at the West End, returns in its fourth year for the 2003 holiday season. The Holiday Light Spectacular is the largest light park on Long Island! The Holiday Light Show provides an enchanting presentation of over one million lights and over 100 displays of holiday spirit, viewed during the two-mile drive from the comfort of your own car.
In addition to the light displays, the park includes admission to the Holiday Village. The Holiday Village, located at the end of the ride, lets families get out of their cars to enjoy refreshments such as roasted marshmallows and hot chocolate and to take pictures with Santa for a nominal fee.
The Holiday Light Spectacular is open daily from Friday, November 21 through Sunday, January 4. Operating hours are Sunday through Thursday from dusk till 10:00 pm, Fridays and Saturdays from dusk till 11:00 pm.
The cost of admission is $12 per carload Monday -Thursday and $15 per carload Friday - Sunday. The cost is $25 per carload for 15 passenger vans. Experience the beauty of the Holiday Light Spectacular twice for only half price the second time around. Pay half price for same car same night re-entry – all week long! Present your same night receipt and pay half price for the second trip through the Holiday Light Spectacular. In addition, a special "Two for Tuesday" promotion allows patrons to drive through the park twice on Tuesdays for the regular price of $12 per carload.
This year, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Natural Heritage Trust. Over the course of the past three seasons, the Holiday Lights Spectacular has raised and donated over $67,000 to local charities.
