ATP will not reopen Agassi doping case (AP) The ATP Tour will not reopen a doping case against Andre Agassi even though he admitted to lying about using crystal meth in 1997. Agassi revealed in his recent autobiography that he failed a 1997 drug test, a result he says was thrown out after he lied by claiming he "unwittingly" took crystal meth.

Del Potro to play Queen's Club tourney (AP) U.S. Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro will play at next year's Queen's Club tournament in an effort to improve his grasscourt game ahead of Wimbledon. The fifth-ranked Argentine beat Roger Federer in the U.S. Open final but has never advanced past the second round in three appearances at Wimbledon.


Federer draws del Potro in ATP finals (AP) Top-ranked Roger Federer will play U.S. Open champion Juan Martin del Potro and Andy Murray in the round-robin phase of the ATP World Tour Finals. After Wednesday's draw, Federer also faces Fernando Verdasco in Group A. The Swiss star lost to Del Potro in the U.S. Open final. "Obviously, I look forward to playing Roger," Murray said.


Wickmayer, Malisse appeal doping bans (AP) Belgian tennis players Yanina Wickmayer and Xavier Malisse have asked the Court of Arbitration for Sport to overturn their one-year bans for missing drug tests. The CAS said Wednesday the players want to annul their suspensions for failing three times to report their whereabouts for unannounced drug-testing.


Injured Roddick to miss season finale (AP) Andy Roddick withdrew from the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals because of a left knee injury and was replaced by Robin Soderling. The No. 6-ranked Roddick qualified for the elite tournament for the seventh consecutive year but injured his left knee at the Shanghai Masters last month and has not competed since.
