“Happy Saturdays” is the story about a group of friends who help each other get through it all and just enjoy life. Johnny, Rusty, Kay, Gabrielle, Billy, and Mr. Jonez (with a “Z”) all work at a neighborhood theme restaurant on Long Island called Happy Saturdays. This story takes us through one insanely busy Saturday night and shows how lives can change when friendship is put to the test.

“Happy Saturdays” is a great night out for anyone interested in situation comedies and/or live theater. This production has performed several successful runs, including a successful performance at Carolines on Broadway in Manhattan, and is bringing that experience to Authors’ Playhouse in Bay Shore! Authors’ Playhouse artistic director Susan Tromans is directing this new version of the play.

It's a great night out for a "Dinner and a Show" featuring local restaurants literally across the street from the playhouse on Main Street in Bay Shore. Check out "Milk and Sugar" for gourmet food in a casual setting, "Peninsula" for amazing chinese cuisine, and "Smokin' Al's" for the best in BBQ!!
