When children are exposed to the arts at an early age it stimulates their development, stirs their imagination, and broadens their perspectives, while helping them grow into adults with a generous capacity for love and compassion. The goal of this event is to raise artistic awareness and ensure that creative expression continues to be an important developmental part of our children's lives. So, mark your calendars and bring your children in for this fun-filled afternoon of art, music and song. 154 Merrick Rd, Amityville, NY 11701 (Corner of Merrick Rd & Rt. 110) Life Through The Eyes Of A Child An art exhibit featuring the beautiful and creative expressions of the children of Yoga Anand Ashram. Your children will be inspired and moved as they view and talk about the artistic works of their peers. As parents, you'll get to share in the wonder and imagination of a child's mind as expressed by these remarkable works of art. Creative Expression Through Mandala Art The children will be encouraged to let their imaginations run wild as they add their own unique and colorful designs to a large mandala drawing. This group activity is designed to stimulate the children's imagination and inspire them to work together in harmony. Creative Expression Through Music & Song As the activity draws to a close the children will experience a sense of awe as they all step back to look at the amazing mandala mural they've just created. Parents will truly enjoy seeing the artistic expressions of many different children brought together by the intricate design of the mandala.
