“There has been an extraordinary display of camaraderie among the members of the Public Works Department and the staff at Village Hall. Everyone has pulled together to help Vinnie and his family”, said Village Crew Chief Mike Cronin, who is chairing the fund-raiser. “The outpouring of support from his co-workers, friends, family, the Village Board and many community organizations including the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce, the Lindenhurst Kiwanis and the Lindenhurst Rotary Club has been tremendous and a real source of comfort to Vinnie, his wife and his children”, continued Mr. Cronin. “Battling the disease is the most important aspect of the ordeal facing Vinnie and his family but there are other issues”, said Mayor Tom Brennan. “Financial considerations, childcare issues, even scheduling appointments and providing for transportation can become overwhelming, adding to the burden facing this wonderful family. Therefore, I am extremely proud of the Village employees and the community. Their heartfelt efforts on behalf of Vinnie and his family will certainly go a long way in helping the Radmanns financially and emotionally. Any further assistance offered by the community is greatly appreciated.” For more information, to donate a raffle prize or to purchase tickets and/or raffles, please call 631-957-7520 Monday thru Friday between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. ### Contact: Village of Lindenhurst Press Release 3/10/06 4:49 AM Eastern |

On Friday, March 24, 2006 members of the Village of Lindenhurst Public Works Department will be joined by the family and friends of fellow Village employee Vinny Radmann as they host a fund-raiser at the Lindenhurst Firemen’s Pavilion to assist Mr. Radmann and his family in his battle with cancer.
Mr. Radmann, a twenty-year employee of the Lindenhurst Village Public Works Department, is married and the father of four children. His diagnosis of metastasized soft cell carcinoma drew an immediate response from the men and women employed by Village of Lindenhurst. Many employees pooled their sick time to donate to Mr. Radmann, while others began planning the March 24th event as well as future fund-raisers including a Chinese Auction currently scheduled for May 5, 2006.
