Caravan of Limos to Deliver Toys to Schneider's Children's Hospital This coming Monday, December 19, there will be a very special delivery to Schneider Children's Hospital. More than twenty luxury limousines, buses and vans in a convoy stretching back for almost a quarter mile will receive a police escort to ensure the safe arrival of their precious cargo – toys collected by the Nassau Suffolk Limousine Association in its annual toy drive. The procession will be led by Santa Claus himself in an impressive antique Rolls Royce – white, of course – and is due to arrive at the hospital around 11 am. Santa and his helpers will present the toys to hospital representatives, who will later distribute them to kids who are patients at the hospital and won't be able to be at home for the holidays. Nassau Suffolk Limousine Association President Peter Giordano thanked the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University for providing a location for the convoy's staging area and starting point. "This is the second year that we have done this event and we are certain that we will bring some joy and happiness to the children at Schneider Children's Hospital and their families," he said. It's still not too late to help out - if you are interested in donating unwrapped toys please call the Nassau Suffolk Limo Association at (516) 887-4577.
