MMS also announced that it will conduct two EIS scoping meetings under the provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The sessions are scheduled for: July 10, 2006 starting at 7pm at the West Babylon High School Performing Arts Center, 200 Great East Neck Road, West Babylon; and July 11, 2006, starting at 7pm, at Massapequa High School (auditorium) 2925 Merrick Road, Massapequa. Registration at each site will begin at 5:30 pm. "We're extremely pleased that the Minerals Management Service has announced its intention to conduct a full environmental review under NEPA," said LIPA Chairman Richard M. Kessel.
