FOR UPCOMING SARAH HUGHES SKATING SHOW AT NASSAU COLISEUM


LONG ISLAND, SEPT. 20, 2005 - - Long Islander Sarah Hughes - - who captured the figure skating Gold Medal and America's hearts at the 2002 Winter Olympics - - will be starring in her own IceTravaganza, called Sarah Hughes & Friends benefiting Stars, Stripes and Skates, at Nassau Coliseum on Friday evening, Oct. 28, 2005, at 7:30 p.m.

A limited number of Circle of Champion VIP Seat Packages, discount tickets and corporate sponsorships are still available through Stars, Stripes and Skates, which is a division of the non-profit 9/11 Families Give Back Fund.

Joining Hughes on ice at the Coliseum will be a number of world and U.S. champions, including Todd Eldridge, Nicole Bobek, Alexi Yagudin and Shae-Lynn Bourne, along with a special guest appearance by popular Long Island-born superstar vocalist, Ashanti.

The Circle of Champions package includes two VIP tickets to the event (valued at $500 apiece); a private, behind-the-scenes pre-show “Chalk Talk” along the ice, hosted by a star skater; and two tickets to the post event Celebrity/VIP party, where guests will be able to meet the skating stars, take photographs and get autographs.

Stars, Stripes and Skates also has a limited supply of $62.00 and $37.50 tickets available to the public for $42.00 and $19.50, respectively, on a first come-first served basis; plus the group has a wide variety of sponsorship opportunities open to companies, organizations and individuals at various price points.

The Mission of the 9/11 Families Give Back Fund is two-fold: (1) To maintain awareness of the 9/11/01 tragedies among the current and future young generations of Americans by publishing and producing 9/11-related educational materials for youngsters all over the country; and (2) To create events to provide survivors of the 9/11 attacks with opportunities to tell their stories to younger generations of Americans.
