Rainbow Chimes non-profit Early Childhood Education and Care Center (RCI) will host a “Teddy Bear Ball” (TBB) transforming its state-of-the-art facility into a whimsical adults-only event. Gourmet dining and dancing 7 pm - midnight on Saturday, May 6, 2006. Proceeds from the event will support literacy programs, scholarships, accreditation and outdoor play areas. The elegant event will feature live jazz by the Matt Marshak Quartet featuring Annie Morgan on Vocals. Sponsored “Rooms of Enchantment” will delight the guests with a CUB-sino, Gold-&-Rocks, and the Three Bears (Bear-building), Silent Auction (“Paw-some Auction”), a Hunt for Bear-ied Treasure and a special program inducting honorees into the Teddy Bear Hall of Fame. Current sponsors include: CoCo Entertainment, David Malito & Hutcher, LLP, New York Fire Detection Incorporated, The Laurel Group, The Savant Creative Group, Windswept Environmental Group, Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz LLP, Statler Chiropractic. RCI relies on the generosity of the community, grants, and corporate gifts. The TBB sponsorships still available for this unique event will help RCI enhance many aspects of the children’s home away from home. “Our vision from the beginning was to serve the children and families that needed us most,” said Katie Roche. “Because of encouragement and assistance from parents, alumni, staff, government and community leaders, corporate supporters, friends and neighbors, our mission has been energized to bring 25 years of award winning programs to over 5,000 children in our community.” Rainbow Chimes’ mission provides the community with a valuable service with its award winning excellence in early childhood education and care for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. In addition RCI’s innovative back-up/emergency/vacation care program allows parents and their employers to manage the many challenges of parenting while juggling their careers and businesses. “Rainbow Chimes gave me the chance to experience all the best opportunities a teacher could ever hope for,” said Emily Maresco, beloved staff member for 25 years. “Watching the children all grow up surrounded by learning and laughter, and being a part of the families’ everyday lives has been my greatest joy.
