Cancer Coalition Supports Good Samaritan
More than $300,000 to support the hospital’s Breast Health Services.
(West Islip, NY) Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center held its annual Hospitality Night at Timber Point Country Club in Great River. Members of local civic groups and business professionals were among the more than 100 guests. Several organizations, including West Islip Breast Cancer Coalition were recognized for their generous donations to the hospital. The coalition’s recent check for $15,000 brought their donations to a total of more than $300,000 to support the hospital’s Breast Health Services.
Good Samaritan earned a three-year/full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons. Good Samaritan’s nurse navigators guide patients from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and into survivorship, helping them to overcome any obstacles. The entire team is committed to providing timely and expert care until the completion of treatment and beyond.

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center is a 537-bed (including 100 nursing home beds), voluntary, not-for-profit hospital located in West Islip.
