Nassau Bar Association Names Locust Valley Attorney Adam D’Antonio Pro Bono Attorney of the Month for September 2013
(Long Island, NY) Each month for the past several years, bankruptcy attorney Adam D’Antonio of Locust Valley has made it his business to volunteer at the Nassau County Bar Association’s free legal clinics to counsel homeowners facing mortgage foreclosure and financial crisis issues. He counsels individuals on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies as well as on foreclosure defense and other loss mitigation options relating to residential foreclosures. For his long-time dedication to NCBA’s Mortgage Foreclosure Project, and his generosity and service to the community, Nassau County Bar Association President Peter J. Mancuso has named him the Pro Bono Attorney of the Month for September 2013.

Based in Woodbury, D’Antonio is an accomplished federal and state litigator who focuses on bankruptcy and residential foreclosure defense. He started his professional career as a Nassau County Assistant District Attorney where he prosecuted over 3,000 dockets with an active caseload of approximately 300 cases conducting jury selection, hearings and trials. At the same time, he managed and prosecuted all misdemeanors and violations pending in the Glen Cove City Division.
D’Antonio earned his JD from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. He is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association, and currently chairs its Community Relations and Public Education Committee. He is a member of the New York State Bar, Bar of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. He practices in Woodbury, New York and handles cases throughout the New York metropolitan area.
