Memorial for Adrienne Shelly, in Manhattan

Long Island Press Releases & News

ManhattanNovember 29, 2006 at 5:30pm — There will be a Memorial for Adrienne Shelly, who was murdered by an illegal alien on November 1, 2006 in front of the scene of the crime—15 Abingdon Square in Manhattan.

Adrienne Shelly was killed by Diego Pillco, an illegal alien who was not supposed to be in United States in the first place.  If our country enforced its own immigration laws, Adrienne would be alive today.

There are currently approximately 12-20 million illegal aliens “hiding in plain sight” in the United States.  Unfortunately, Adrienne is not the first victim of a violent crime committed by someone who should not have been in the United States to begin with.  This is part of an all-too-common pattern of violent crimes, including stalking, physical assault, and yes, murder, committed by illegal aliens throughout the United States.

We are deeply sorry that Adrienne had to die as a casualty of our federal government’s failure to enforce immigration law.  Our hearts go out to her family, her husband, Andrew, and her 3 year-old daughter who will grow up never knowing her Mother.

This Memorial is a NY ICE (New Yorkers for Immigration Control and Enforcement) tribute to Adrienne.  For more information about NY ICE, please contact (917) 686.8695 or email progressrose@yahoo.com.
