Plainview Old Bethpage High School touring Italy

Plainview Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School’s Mixed Choir is touring Italy this February for ten days!  This choir is made up of 97 students in 9th-12th grade and is under the direction of Mr. Adam Paltrowitz.  The mixed choir is eager to perform from February 14th to February 23rd all over Italy and enrich themselves in the rich culture of the country. 

Stops include Venice, Florence, Pisa, Perugia, Assisi, Rome, and Vatican City.  The choir has dozens of songs to perform including Leonardo Dreams of his Flying Machine, Lux Arumque, Ave Maria, Jubilant Song, Come to Me My Love, Psalite, Fa Una Canzona, O Seh Shalom, O Ochi Manza Mia, and many others.  

Some of the Plainview Old Bethpage Mixed Choir’s performance venues include St. Peter’s Basilica, Tempio Maggiore di Roma, and the Music Institute in Lucca.  To hear some of the repertoire that the Mixed Choir is going to perform in Italy, come to their farewell concert on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the Good Shepherd Church (99 Central Park Road in Plainview) from 7-8 pm.
