Parents Magazine Names Atlantis Marine World One of “The 10 Best Aquariums For Kids”
Riverhead, NY — Parents Magazine has selected Atlantis Marine World (www.AtlantisMarineWorld.com) as one of “The 10 Best Aquariums for Kids” in its August issue, available on newsstands beginning Tuesday, July 17.
Parents Magazine surveyed more than 60 aquariums around the country to find the ones that offer the most for families, with its 41-question survey evaluating the number, creativity, and educational aspect of each aquarium’s interactive features. Site visits and the recommendations of an expert panel were also relied upon in developing the Top 10 rankings.
Atlantis Marine World was recognized for its outdoor salt marsh that houses horseshoe crabs, spider crabs, whelks, and marsh fish where guests are invited to hop right in. Other interactive highlights include two large Ray Bay touch tanks where guests can feed stingrays and bamboo sharks, the brand-new Unearthing Atlantis, an archaeological dig site, a tour boat, and its Trainer for a Day, Shark Dive, and Snorkel Adventure programs.
“We are thrilled to be in the company of the biggest and the best Aquariums in the country,” enthuses General Manager Bryan DeLuca. “It is truly an honor.”
