EEAC Open Call to Artists and Craftsman
East End Arts Council Open Call to Artists and Craftsman
Riverhead, NY (July 26, 2007)—It’s time to start thinking about the annual Holiday Market to be held at the EEAC gallery from November 30 – December 23, 2007. Fine art and unique crafts will fill our gallery from top to bottom as visitors from all over the island come to buy artful gifts at significantly less than retail prices (the EEAC Gallery takes only a 30% commission –not the traditional retail 50%). We’re putting a special emphasis this year on the exceptionally unusual and unique. So, if you’re the creator of beautiful items like wearable art, one-of-a kind pottery, woodwork, dried flowers, silk paintings, cards, matted photos or giclees (unframed please), original small works (framed and wired to hang and no bigger that 11 x 14 including frame), dolls, jewelry, decoupage and so on, you’ll want to showcase your talent at our Holiday Market. We’re also encouraging applications accompanied by jpegs of sample items on CD as well as traditional interview and drop off.
For an interview, contact the gallery at 727-0900 after November 1st to make an appointment for a time between November 8th-16th to show your wares to our Gallery Director and, if chosen, secure a spot at our gift exhibit. Or, download an application from our website (found under call for artists/ cd entry form) and deliver/send application and CD samples to 133 E. Main Street, Riverhead, NY, 11901 after November 1st and no later than November 14th. (No email submissions please.)
For more information, please call 631-727-0900.
