Nassau North Shore Chapter of LIBOR to Host Benefit
Nassau North Shore Chapter of the Long Island Board of Realtors Hosts Holiday Cocktail/Buffet Party to Benefit The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island
New Hyde Park (September 2007) – The Nassau North Shore Chapter of the Long Island Board of Realtors (LIBOR) is hosting a “Holiday Cocktail and Buffet Party†on Monday, December 10, 2007, 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Woodlands, (Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course) located @ 1 Southwoods Road in Woodbury to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. This festive occasion will feature delicious food, wine, musical entertainment and assorted raffles.
Proceeds raised at the LIBOR event will support the Share-A-Night program at the House, a vital program that helps waive or reduce the room fees for families at the House who are experiencing financial challenges. In addition to an enjoyable evening of social interaction, dancing, food and wine, the event will serve to help many families at the House during a difficult time in their lives.
LIBOR strives to bring good will into the local community in every way possible. We are excited about raising funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island, an organization that helps so many people at a time when they are most vulnerable. This is our way of reaching out and giving back to people from our own communities and from all over the world. We’re more than just Realtors.
The Long Island Board of Realtors is comprised of more that 2,700 members. The cocktail/holiday party is expected to have realtors, sponsors, business leaders, clients, and customers associated with LIBOR. Everyone is invited to attend. The cost to attend is $35.00 (prepaid) and $40.00 at the door. To pre-register you may call Julie Blaker at 516-922-2878, and for further information you may call Linda Petralia 516-677-0030×226 or Debra Parisi 516-677-0030 x228, the Co-Chairs of this event.
The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a “home-away-from-home†for families who are caring for seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment in area hospitals. Located on the campus of Schneider Children’s Hospital, the House accommodates families in a warm and supportive environment. Since opening in 1986, more that 9,000 families from the United States and more than 62 countries around the world have been served. Most families are from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, as well as from the five boroughs of New York City. Thank you in advance for your support and contribution to this worthy cause.
