Andy Statman – The Master of Two Idioms – in Concert at Landmark

Landmark on Main Street is proud to present Andy Statman on Saturday, January 19th at 8:30 PM.  The concert is sponsored by Relix Magazine and Judith & Morton Sloan with additional program sponsorship from Harding Real Estate and Wachovia Bank.

Statman, one of his generation’s premier mandolinists and clarinetists thinks of his compositions as “a spontaneous, American-roots form of very personal, prayerful Hasidic music, by way of avant-garde jazz.”  The New York Times calls Andy Statman a “master of idioms linked by their demands for virtuosity and their down-home origins.”
