East End Arts Council Celebrates 35 Years of the Arts with Culinary Delights
Greenport, NY (October 24, 2007)—The East End Arts Council continues to celebrate its 35th anniversary with some of the finest foods and wines to be found on the East End. The Long Island Wine Council and a number of select restaurants, gourmet shops, and bakeries have graciously donated their wares for a tasting event at the Evening of Thanks, honoring long-time champions of the arts. The event will take place at the restored Brecknock Hall, at Peconic Landing in Greenport, on Saturday, November 3, 2007, from 4-6:30 pm. The event is open to the public; tickets are $60/pp. and can be purchased in advance at the East End Arts Council.
Savory samplings will be provided by the following eateries and shops:
Aldo’s, Catapano Dairy Farm (Catapano goat cheese), Cynthia Battaglia Distinctive Catering, Hampton Coffee Company (coffee and cookies), Jamesport Manor Inn (duck spring rolls), Jedediah Hawkins (chilled North Fork potato leek soup with blue crab relish), Junda’s Pastry Shop, Michael’s at the Boardwalk (shellfish salad on crostini), North Fork Table (chocolate chip cookies), Peconic Baking Company, Peconic Landing, (pot stickers), Planet Bliss (fig filo–pastry stuffed with figs, spinach and goat cheese), Rotisserie Smokehouse, Salamander General Store (North Fork duck in pipiar verde on sesame corn cracker), Sang Lee Farms (roasted beet salad with ginger scallion dip), Seasoned Caterers (porcini meatballs), Tierra Mar, TY KU, Village Cheese Shop, and Vine Wine Bar & Café.
A selection of Long Island wines will be provided by the Long Island Wine Council.
