Suffolk County Executive Levy Recognizes Friendly’s Restaurants and WBLI Radio for Breast Cancer Fundraising
Fribbles for a Cause: Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy recently recognized the efforts of 34 Long Island Friendly’s restaurants and WBLI-FM radio for teaming up to raise funds for the 1 in 9, the Long Island Breast Cancer Action Coalition.
During the month of October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Friendly’s is donating $1 to the 1 in 9 Coalition for every strawberry Fribble purchased (pink being the color to symbolize breast cancer awareness).
The Babylon-based WBLI is promoting the fundraising effort with several in-store broadcasts.
