Long Island’s “High School Musical” Sold Out
Long Island’s “High School Musical”: Push Play SOLD OUT at the Fillmore
(New York, NY) High School Musical…Miley Cyrus…what’s the “Next Big Teen Sensation”? And could it be from Long Island?? On December 22nd, 2007 the answer became a but clearer when history was made as the release party for Long Island’s own teenage rock stars Push Play http://www.myspace.com/pushplayrox was completely sold out to the rafters, with hundreds of disappointed kids without tickets as well. Their new CD “Deserted†is released on a small local imprint and their loyal fanbase has been built from the ground up using grass roots and street team techniques and above all else, by just showcasing good old fashioned talent and “it” factor.
The show was the culmination of many months of hard work; it’s not every day that a band that does not reside on a major label gets a chance to headline this legendary venue. Especially not teenagers!! And to sell the place out, to sell over 3000 copies of their CD by word of mouth in less than a week, and to be experiencing this type of skyrocketing buzz is something for the ages.
Push Play’s next performance will be on Sunday January 20th at the intimate Maxwell’s in Hoboken, NJ

ABOUT PUSH PLAY
Destined to make an impact on the musical landscape, Push Play offers great melodies, driving beats and a firm determination in reaching their goals.
“We are the new generation and we need to set higher standards. That’s why a portion of the proceeds from our CD sales and concerts will be set aside for a variety of charities.†Push Play is the new breed of rock star.
And with countless gigs, radio & film appearances, interviews and songwriting sessions under their belt, it’s hard to believe the members of Push Play all under the tender age of 18. But upon witnessing them live and listening to the maturity in their prose and the complexity of the compositions, you get the feeling that these boys are for real. And you would be right.
