Graphic Design at the EEAC
Graphic Design at the East End Arts Council
Riverhead, NY (January 7, 2008)—The East End Arts Council presents The Tao of Logo Design with artist Roxanne Panero, who will present the structure for success she developed after having created thousands of logos. This one-day workshop will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2008 from 11AM-2PM at the EEAC, and it will show would-be logo designers how to keep their egos out of someone else’s business, retain civil working relationships, and leave projects with a check. This workshop focuses on ‘working smart,’ explaining how to create a logo simply and effectively. Attendees are invited to bring along any logo project they might have in the works. Time will be allotted for a focus-group-style discussion.
After 14 years as VP and Creative Director for a NYC financial services advertising agency, Ms. Panero operated her own graphic design firm in NYC for 18 years, continued studies at SVA and completed a two year program at Pratt. She taught typography and design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, has served as a juror for design award panels and a guest lecturer on brand identity, and was named Graphic Designer of the Year by the Long Island Arts Council.
The workshop will cost $15 for EEAC members, and $20 for non-members. For registration or more information, please call 631-369-2171.
