Uniondale, NY-March 21st, 2008- Rising energy costs are an immediate concern for many Long Islanders.  Today the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) hosted an Energy Conservation fair at CA’s Islandia Headquarters, to help raise employees’ awareness of products and services that can increase energy efficiency in their homes and save money.

CA employees were introduced to a wide variety of programs in LIPA’s Clean Energy Initiative (CEI), a 10-year, $355-million dollar commitment aimed at lowering electric bills while protecting the environment.

“The participation by CA in today’s energy conservation fair demonstrates the significant role that companies play in helping to make our Island more energy efficient,” said LIPA President and CEO Kevin S.
