Roz Dimon and Leo Revi Open at Rosalie Dimon Gallery
 
Riverhead, NY (April 16, 2008)–A collection of Roz Dimon’s drawings and Leo Revi’s paintings will be on display at the Rosalie Dimon Gallery at the Jamesport Manor Inn (Manor Lane, Jamesport) from May 7 – August 6, 2008. An opening reception will be held on Sunday, June 22 from 3-5 pm. The public is invited.

Ms. Dimon, who is best known for her innovative computer art, will be exhibiting a series of iconoclastic drawings of very recognizable products and condiments. In her zany, inimitable style, words and colors clash in what looks like “advertisements on steroids.” Ms. Dimon (who, incidentally, is no relation to the Rosalie Dimon for which the gallery is named ) has exhibited her work in various venues on Long Island and NYC and is in the private collections of many Fortune 500 corporations.

Mr. Revi, who appears courtesy of Hampton Road Gallery where he recently had a solo exhibit, is an accomplished land and seascape painter who derives much inspiration from the East End of Long Island. His works have been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums and are held in many private collections and in the permanent collections of Guild Hall and Stony Brook Museum. He’s also thrice graced the cover of Dan’s Paper.

Sales of artwork will be made through the East End Arts Council. The Rosalie Dimon Gallery shows are a joint effort of the East End Arts Council and the Jamesport Manor Inn.  EEAC exhibits are made possible with support from the New York State Council on the Arts, Suffolk County Office of Cultural Affairs and the Town of Riverhead.
