Patchogue YMCA Ground Breaking

The Brookhaven Roe YMCA is proud to announce the ground breaking of a new Patchogue facility. All members of the community are invited to attend this festive event scheduled for Monday, November 3rd at 9:30 AM. This ceremony will take place on the future site of the Patchogue YMCA on the South side of Holbrook Road (County Road 19) between the Lakeview Cemetery and Briarcliff College. There will be renderings to view and representatives available to answer questions about the facility and its impact on the greater community.

This new facility will increase availability for wellness and community outreach of the YMCA in our community. The new facility will boast space for a full day childcare program, a large multi-purpose area, an expanded health and fitness area including a running track, gymnasium and locker rooms, a six lane pool and a rock climbing wall. Furthermore, this facility will enable the YMCA to almost double their enrollment with available space at both the current Brookhaven Y and the new facility for child care and camp programs. Both the free pre-teen and teen recreational programs will also be able to accommodate a larger attendance in the new facility.

This groundbreaking celebration will mark the beginning of the construction of this new facility. It will also mark the announcement of the public phase of the capital campaign which has already raised $16,453,040 in pledges toward the overall goal of $19,700,000. A hardworking committee of community leaders has been and will continue to work toward the addition of this community resource in downtown Patchogue.
