Fair Media Council Partners with Karma411 for Online Giving Campaigns
(Long Island, N.Y.) The Fair Media Council, a 501c3 nonprofit organization, has partnered with e-philanthropy specialist Karma411 to raise funds and awareness for the Fair Media Council. As the only organization in the country that advocates for quality local news and educates people to become media savvy news consumers, Fair Media Council is seeking general help with the Campaign for Fair Media Council.
The second campaign is to benefit the Fair Media Council Media Savvy KIDS program, a media literacy program primarily targeted at 4th to 6th graders. Media literacy develops and promotes deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills. And, using news in the classroom improves reading and writing, engages the kids in what’s happening in their local community and turns them into good citizens.
